This Week (3/9)

38th edition. GI block is underway with House Perkins off to the early lead.  I am still awaiting the results from Rosh Review to determine the Renal/GU champion, hopefully, results in the next week. 

General:

TEE Call Schedule – is attached to this email. Please use it when patients come in that are candidates for this procedure. Like any new procedure, it is important to take advantage when patients present in order to increase our skills and improve patient outcomes. Old Items:

Blood Drive – will be April 30th, put this on your calendar now. We will have more information on that day/events to follow. 

New Chiefs – congratulations to Zach, Cassie, and Lou on being elected as chief residents for the upcoming year. There were many strong candidates from the PGY2 class. These three will do great work in 2020/2021.  

Pediatric Fundamental Critical Care Support – is going to be a requirement for the PGY2 class and all classes moving forward. This is only offered on a very limited basis with the first class scheduled for April 28/29th. If you are a PGY2 plan accordingly.

Conference:As of now starts with Case Conference @ 8:30, Riverside. Pay attention for updates as most of the core faculty is at CORD and the schedule might change.
